About NYC Off-Broadway Week℠

What's NYC Off-Broadway Week?

NYC Off-Broadway Week is a twice-yearly program that celebrates live theater at its most intimate and spontaneous. With a variety of exciting productions, this is an experience that locals and visitors alike will find spectacular. The program once again offers 2-for-1 tickets to some of NYC’s longest-running hits, cult favorites, unique productions and anticipated new shows.

Fall 2023 NYC Off-Broadway Week runs October 3–15. To buy tickets, visit the official

page. Browse all participating productions below or filter by neighborhood and genre to find the perfect show for the occasion.

Here's Why You Should Go

Off-Broadway is a staple of New York’s thriving theater culture—a vehicle for so-called straight plays (dramas without music), genre-defying experiences and Pulitzer Prize recipients. The theaters accommodate 100 to 499 seats, an intimate experience compared to Broadway’s houses, which hold between 500 and 1,800. NYC Off-Broadway Week is produced by NYC Tourism in collaboration with the Off-Broadway League. Since its inaugural year in 2009, the program has sold over 100,000 tickets. Tips for NYC Off-Broadway Week

Whether you’re a first-time attendee or a seasoned theatergoer, keep these helpful pointers top of mind.

Book Early

Ticket availability is limited, and popular shows sell out quickly. Occasionally, additional seats are released throughout the program but it’s best to book ahead.

Go with a Group

The 2-for-1 offer translates to 50% off each individual ticket, with a two-ticket minimum—so you can get multiple friends in on this great deal.

It’s Never Just a Week

NYC Off-Broadway Week can seem fleeting, but it’s always longer than seven days—plenty of time to catch a show or three.

Know the Neighborhood

Though traditionally associated with downtown, Off-Broadway has a healthy presence in the Theatre District and elsewhere in Manhattan. Make sure to check the theater location and plan accordingly.
