The busy 2024–25 Broadway season, which saw more than 30 shows open, comes to an end with the Tony Award nominations. Leading the pack are Buena Vista Social Club—whose band will also get a special award—Death Becomes Her and Maybe Happy Ending, each of which received 10 nods.

Read on for the major-category nominees (shows whose titles are not linked have finished their Broadway run), which include Daniel Dae Kim, the first Asian American to be nominated for the lead actor in a play—a category that includes George Clooney, in his Broadway debut. Celebrate all the season’s shows on June 8, 2025, when the awards return to their longtime home, Radio City Music Hall.
