Golf enthusiasts of all ages and abilities will find a range of options in Jamaica Bay. The Brooklyn Golf Center’s course at Marine Park, one of the longest in the City, has greatly improved its facilities in recent years. It's challenging and offers striking views—perfect for serious golfers, who can also practice their swing at the driving range. Families will enjoy the center’s mini-golf course, while younger players interested in learning the sport can take complimentary youth golf lessons provided during July and August by the City Parks Foundation in Marine Park (at a baseball field near Avenue S and East 32nd Street). Spots fill up fast, so check cityparksfoundation.org for registration information. When they’re ready to move up to course play, head across the Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge to the links at Jacob Riis Park, where the Brooklyn Golf Center operates a par-3 course near the beach.
