The TV Land show Younger follows Liza (played by Sutton Foster), a 40-something mom who poses as a 26-year-old to get a job at Empirical, a publishing house in Midtown Manhattan. Show runner Darren Star (creator of Sex and the City) loves New York City, which is evident in the program’s glamorous shots of Manhattan and Brooklyn. To check out the spots that characters Liza, Kelsey, Diana and Charles frequent in season 3—no spoilers, we promise!—read on.

Update, February 2025: All seven seasons of Younger are now available to stream on Netflix.

Williamsburg: Liza’s apartment is right next to the popular Nitehawk Cinema, an indie movie theater that serves food and drinks. Liza’s love interest, Josh (played by Nico Tortorella, who recently spoke with NYC Tourism), also lives in the neighborhood and works at the fictional “Inkburg,” right near the real East River Bar.

Bank of America Tower (One Bryant Park): The exterior shots of Liza’s publishing house are of the Bank of America Tower, next to Bryant Park. The ultramodern building was completed in 2010, the first skyscraper in North America to earn LEED Platinum status.

Grand Army Plaza: In the season opener Liza, joined by her roommate, Maggie (Debi Mazar), drops off her daughter for college at a bus parked in the busy plaza south of Central Park. You can see the posh Plaza Hotel and Bergdorf Goodman in the background.

Central Park: In the first episode, Kelsey (Hilary Duff) gets a special kind of therapy in Manhattan's famous green space.

Marie’s Crisis Café: This West Village institution is a gay bar where locals drink, kick back and sing show tunes around a piano. Kelsey’s boss, the uptight Diana (Miriam Shor), takes her here to loosen up after a long day at work

Bemelmans Bar: Liza gets into a tricky situation with Charles, her boss who kissed her at the end of season 2, at the ritzy bar situated in The Carlyle on the Upper East Side.

Chinatown: Kelsey and Chad, the twin brother of her deceased fiancé, meet at a restaurant in the colorful downtown neighborhood where he reveals a secret to Kelsey.

Craft: The staff of Empirical dines with a wealthy new investor at this Tom Colicchio restaurant in Gramercy.
