Bob Dylan's first NYC apartment

Description

The iconic singer-songwriter’s first permanent address in New York was at 161 West 4th Street in the West Village. Dylan and his then-girlfriend Suze Rotolo moved to this apartment in December 1961 shortly after recording his first album. The photograph of Dylan and Rotolo used for the cover of 1963’s The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan was taken right around the corner.
