Description

The Masons count among their most famous members an impressive 14 United States presidents, as well as a host of other notable American names, from Mark Twain to Buzz Aldrin to Jesse Jackson. Though the organization has long been considered a "secret society," this historic New York City landmarked building offers the public an open invitation to step inside and tour its grandiose interior. There is plenty to marvel at here—from its many stately rooms to the incredibly ornate and gilded walls and corridors. Nearly every aspect of this breathtaking space might be considered grand, including the library and museum, which are open weekdays without appointment to visitors from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
