Jimi Hendrix’s apartment

Description

The only New York residence that Hendrix could ever call his own was an apartment in the elegant pre–World War II building at 59 W. 12th St. in Greenwich Village. Before that, he lived in New York hotels, in the homes of friends and business associates or on the road. The guitarist signed the lease in the fall of 1969, not long after his historic appearance at the Woodstock music festival.
