Lou Gehrig Plaza

Description

Since its reconstruction in 2008, this parking lot-turned-plaza has become a burgeoning hub for concerts, art installations and fairs. Named after the beloved Yankees slugger, it’s just a few blocks from the stadium and perfect for a post-game stroll. To its south, visitors can spot the borough’s courthouse (and perhaps newlyweds snapping photos); to the north, people can make their way over to Joyce Kilmer Park.
