Die Organisation hinter Bonnaroo und SXSW setzt ihre Tradition fort, mit der 14. Ausgabe des GlobalFest globale Musik nach New York City zu bringen. Künstler aus aller Welt stürzen nur für eine Nacht in die Webster Hall des East Village. Diese Dutzend Künstler bringen bahnbrechende und innovative Musikstile wie afropolitische Pop-Soul, estnische Folklore-Soundlandschaften, koreanischen Folklorerock und polyrhythmische Go-Gos nach NYC.
