Vamos! A Celebration of Latin and Caribbean Cultures

Anthropologists have long studied play as one of humanity’s most powerful forms of cultural exchange. Games, music, dance and food have always carried tradition across borders—and nowhere is that more apparent than in New York City. As the World Cup 2026 Final approaches, AMNH highlights the cultures of the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Puerto Rico. Programming during this evening celebration (the museums is open late) includes DJs, a dominoes tournament, a soccer-focused art installation, conversations on sports and a pop-up market with vendors.
