Das erste islamische Gemeindezentrum von Staten Island – ursprünglich 1973 gegründet – beherbergt eine der größten Moscheen Nordamerikas, die für die Öffentlichkeit zum täglichen Gebet geöffnet ist. Das Zentrum präsentiert auch eine Vielzahl von kommunalen Kontakt- und Bildungsprogrammen, wie z. B. den letzten Abend mit Vorträgen und Ausstellungen, „Celebrating Prophet Mohammad’s Life“. Im Zentrum befindet sich auch die private Islamische Schule Miraj.
