Das Brooklyn Historical Society DUMBO befindet sich im historischen Empire Stores-Gebäude im Herzen des Brooklyn Bridge Park und ist ein neues kulturelles Reiseziel, das die Geschichten von Brooklyns Uferpromenade hervorhebt. Die Eröffnungsausstellung „Shifting Perspectives: Fotos von Brooklyn’s Waterfront“, betrachtet die Küste als Inspiration für Dutzende von Fotografen im Laufe der Zeit. Danach folgt „Waterfront“, eine Langzeitausstellung, die die Geschichte von allem entlang der Uferpromenade erforscht – Arbeiter, Künstler, Branchen, Aktivisten, Innovatoren, Familien, Nachbarschaften und Ökosysteme.
