Das 1962 gegründete Open-Air-Theater mit 1.800 Kapazitäten ist die Heimat des öffentlichen Theaters der Stadt und der gefeierten jährlichen Sommerveranstaltung Shakespeare im Park. Seitdem wird jeden Sommer eine Repertoireproduktion von Shakespeare präsentiert. Die Tickets sind kostenlos und in der First-Come-Phase erhältlich. Die Aufführungen sind in der Regel von Stars geprägt – frühere Produktionen waren Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Denzel Washington, Richard Dreyfuss, Anne Hathaway und Natalie Portman.
