Explore the outdoors at this local green space that borders the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens. Ball fields, courts and playgrounds, with spray swings and a climbing wall, are there for when you want to be active; you can also opt for a relaxing picnic before strolling through the 50-acre Ridgewood Reservoir. Formerly a major neighborhood water source, the reservoir has a serene walking path (a little over a mile), an abundance of flora and a birding scene.
