Beschreibung
Als die Kaufman Astoria Studios 1920 zum ersten Mal gebaut wurden, beherbergte sie Paramount Pictures und produzierte mehr als 100 stille Filme. In jüngster Zeit hat sich seine Popularität erst durch Dreharbeiten, Vor- und Nachproduktion von Filmen (The Bourne Legacy , The Secret Life of Walter Mitty ) und Fernsehsendungen (Orange Is the New Black , Sesamstraße ) erhöht, die rund um die Uhr stattfinden. Das KAS verfügt über mehr als 500.000 Quadratmeter Fläche, die Soundbühnen, Büros und Servicebereiche umfasst – zusammen mit der einzigen Bühnenanlage im Freien der Stadt.
