The brainchild of four Gramercy Tavern alums, this modern Italian eatery has attracted gourmands from near and far. Start with wood-fired polenta bread, topped with Calabrian chili butter if you desire. Then spring for the two-sheet lasagna verde, in which spinach noodles sandwich a beef Bolognese and bechamel sauce. There are meat and fish mains, and Rolo’s prime beef cuts also star in a delicious, but elusive, double cheeseburger (it often sells out). It’s open for dinner daily plus weekend brunch.
