La primera dirección permanente del icónico cantante y compositor en Nueva York fue en 161 West 4th Street en West Village. Dylan y su entonces novia Suze Rotolo se mudaron a este apartamento en diciembre de 1961 poco después de grabar su primer álbum. La fotografía de Dylan y Rotolo utilizada para la portada de The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan de 1963 se tomó justo a la vuelta de la esquina.
