En honor al 20.o aniversario del espectáculo, la 25.a abeja ortográfica anual del condado de Putnam regresa donde comenzó, en un escenario Off-Broadway en NYC (se mudó rápidamente a Broadway). Jasmine Amy Rogers, Autumn Best, Matt Manuel, Kevin McHale, Justin Cooley, Philippe Arroyo y Leana Rae Concepcion protagonizan este renacimiento. Seis ortógrafos entran, pero solo uno puede usar su vocabulario e historias para ser el ganador.
