Head to East Harlem on June 11 and July 19 for two exciting community gatherings celebrating the World Cup 2026 at El Barrio’s Artspace, the neighborhood's vibrant cultural hub and scenic gathering place for creativity. This community celebration transforms the World Cup from a distant global event into a local experience that reflects East Harlem’s deep love for fútbol and its long-standing role as a unifying cultural force.
On June 11, celebrate the start of the World Cup with a live community screening of the Opening Ceremony and the first match on a large projection screen in Artspace’s main gallery. Doors open around 1:30pm. On July 19, join a larger community celebration for the World Cup Final, including the closing festivities, final game and halftime show. Doors open around 12:30pm. The event will begin around 1pm and will include music, a DJ and light refreshments, followed by the big-screen match viewing at 3pm.
The events are produced by Barrio Independent Productions (BIP) in collaboration with El Barrio’s Artspace.
