The United States Steelpan Association is dedicated to promoting the art of the steel pan and steel band as a way of celebrating the rich tapestry of Caribbean and African American cultural experiences. The annual Panorama Competition, presented by the West Indian American Day Carnival Association, features steel band performances on the grounds of the Brooklyn Museum. Gates open at 6pm, and the event begins at 7pm.
