Aire Ancient Baths - Upper East Side

Descripción

Among the high-rise architecture of Manhattan's Upper East Side, Aire is housed in a building that is more than 120 years old. For some time, it was a warehouse used by wealthy patrons of uptown Manhattan to store precious items. Later, some of the world's most renowned museums entrusted the space to house their most valuable collections. As recently as 2010, the building was a main storage facility for the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Now these historic walls hold a new purpose, with more than 9,600 square feet devoted to wellness and relaxation. As an Aire location, this elegant scenario embodies a rich tapestry of inspiration and tradition, keeping one special key element that makes it stand out even more: their emblematic salt bath, the Flotarium, is suspended from the ceiling.
