Winner of the 2019 Tony for Best Musical, Hadestown follows two love stories, those of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice and of king Hades and his wife, Persephone. Set in New Orleans to a wide-ranging score of American music—from jazz and blues to rock and roll—this timeless tale examines themes of love versus fear and faith versus doubt.
