At Costa y Mar, the food leans—you guessed it—both land and sea. The Peruvian-Ecuadorian spot on bustling Greenpoint Avenue in Sunnyside is known for its super-fresh ceviches, rondas (seafood rice dishes) and seafood soups along with land-based dishes such as succulent quarter, half and whole chickens, lomo saltado (Peruvian beef stir-fry) and Ecuadorian staples like seco de carne (slow-cooked beef stew), seco de chivo (goat stew) and llapingacho (potato pancakes) with sausage and eggs. Come for the reasonably priced food, but stay for the warm, inviting atmosphere.
