Dept of Culture

Descripción

Dept of Culture showcases the cuisine of north-central Nigeria, the home of founder Ayo Balogun. With its intimate dining room and décor, it feels more like a hip dinner party than restaurant. Balogun acts as chef and host, introducing each of the four courses (there’s a nightly fixed-price set menu) around a communal oak table. Expect bowls of spicy goat pepper soup and refined takes on wara ti abe (fresh cow’s milk cheese in a pepper/tomato sauce) and okele (pounded yam with okra). BYOB.
