On the outside, Rahim Mohamed’s small biz is an unassuming bodega. But inside, he draws crowds from around the world who know him better as General Ock. Going viral in 2020, the deli has become a hot spot for over-the-top sandwiches made “the Ocky way.” Fans eagerly request city classics with a twist (think: chopped cheese on Jamaican patties or a cinnamon roll BEC). Portions are generous for $15, so come famished or with a few hungry friends.
