Fundada en 1936 por el entonces alcalde Fiorello LaGuardia, cuando se la llamó el “mercado minorista Park Avenue”, La Marqueta ha recibido recientemente un retoque y ahora cuenta con instalaciones para hornear en el lugar y un centro de jardinería urbana.
