The Schomburg Center celebrates its centennial with a focus on its vast collections along with programming to commemorate its legacy as a renowned research library. Explore the history and significance of the center’s role in preserving and educating about the African Diaspora through objects from each of Schomburg’s divisions. The celebration also includes the launch of two new programs—The Portrait of an Icon, featuring intimate conversations with iconic figures, and Tasting the Schomburg Collections, a series of family-style ticketed dinners. Other activities include talks, screenings, theatrical reading and performances.
