Description

This new imagining of the award-winning musical portrays the complex events behind the signing of the Declaration of Independence through a cast of female, nonbinary and trans actors. The plot revolves around the efforts that John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Richard Henry Lee and Thomas Jefferson undertook to convince the divided members of Congress on how to lead the United States to independence. Presented by the Roundabout Theatre Company, this version of the musical is brought to life by directors Jeffrey L. Page and Diane Paulus.
