The lessons of 1984, George Orwell’s classic novel about a dystopian world gripped by totalitarian rule, suddenly seems particularly relevant against the current political backdrop. This adaption for the stage uses multimedia props—including a huge video screen featuring the ominous figure of Big Brother—to drive home the menacing threat of a government that demands submission to group think and the quelling of all dissent.
