Description

Following a sold-out Off-Broadway run at Playwrights Horizons in 2019, Michael R. Jackson won the 2020 Pulitzer Prize in Drama for the story of Usher—a queer Black writer writing a musical about a queer Black writer. And so the circle goes. The much-lauded musical features Jacquel Spivey as Usher and an ensemble cast including Antwayn Hopper, L. Morgan Lee, John-Michael Lyles, James Jackson, Jr., John-Andrew Morrison and Jason Veasey.
