Abuela's Kitchen, presented in partnership with Staten Island Urban Center, focuses on the role of the abuela (grandmother) while exploring social and environmental justice in communities of color in New York City, is. The works come from curator Kelly Vilar's personal collection as well as fellow artists, activists and youths at the center.
