Description
Since 1934, Amateur Night at the Apollo has served as the golden ticket to a big break for many performers. Amateur Night features a slate of new artists from all backgrounds looking to win over the Apollo crowd on Wednesdays. Some of the big names in music who launched their careers here include Lauryn Hill, Luther Vandross and H.E.R. The legendary competition concludes with a Grand Finale on June 25 where the “Child of Tomorrow Star” gets $5,000 and the big winner will be awarded a $20,000 prize. The Apollo's calendar features updates on special guests and themes.
