American Ballet Theatre Spring 2027 Season
Mar 4, 2027 - Mar 21, 2027
Description
The American Ballet Theatre’s spring season is brief but intense. A trio of pieces comprise the initial program: Symphonie Concertante, set to Mozart’s similarly titled work; Serenade After Plato’s Symposium, choreographed by Alexei Ratmansky; and Wayne McGregor’s Chroma, a company premiere that integrates music from The White Stripes, as arranged by Joby Talbot. After that comes a weeklong run of Lady of the Camellias, a story of young French lovers that is set to Chopin and taken from the novel (later turned into a play) by Alexandre Dumas’ son. Winding things up is a series of performances called “Masterworks,” which include favoritessuch as Balanchine’s Apollo, Jiří Kylián’s Nuages and Twyla Tharp’s In the Upper Room, plus a world premiere from choreographer James Whiteside.
