Description

In connection with its 60th anniversary, the American Folk Art Museum presents an exhibit highlighting weather vanes created between the late 17th and early 20th centuries. Notable pieces include a dove of peace vane, designed by George Washington for Mount Vernon, and an eagle attributed to the foundry of Paul Revere. The vanes are accompanied by archival materials and drawings that showcase the development of the weather vane tradition.
