Join the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) for their sixth year of Animation First, the only film festival in the country showcasing French works of animation (don’t worry, there are subtitles). Catch the US premiere of Little Nicholas—Happy as Can Be, which celebrates French cartoon illustrator Jean-Jacques Sempé, in tandem with FIAF’s gallery exhibition of his work. The festival also features work-in-progress presentations by artists and producers, immersive VR experiences and a conversation with renowned screenwriter and director Anca Damian, following the NYC premiere of her new film (The Island) and augmented-reality companion piece (In Search of Paradise).
