Description

The Morgan’s 2018 acquisition of drawings from the Souls Grown Deep Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting Black Southern artists and their communities, takes center stage in Another Tradition. Among the artists represented in those works are Thornton Dial, Nellie Mae Rowe and Luster Willis This show also incorporates pieces by Lonnie Holley, Sister Gertrude Morgan and Bill Traylor, focusing on their drawing work in media such as watercolor, ballpoint pen, crayon and glitter.
