Description
Inspired by a 1990s tabloid character, Bat Boy taps into the common themes of fear of the unknown, a desire to belong and finding out who you truly are. In this coming-of-age show, a half-human, half-bat teen sparks chaos in a West Virginia town—and as he gains acceptance from the locals, he forces the townspeople to take a harder look in the mirror to discover who the real monsters are. This musical revival comes to New York City Center after a Off-Broadway run back in 2001 turned it into a cult classic.
