Description
This two-week celebration of Brazilian music, film, food and more includes performances by Alceu Valença, Tulipa Ruiz, Cordel do Fogo Encanto and others, plus the US premieres of Arnaldo Antunes’s autobiographical documentary In His Own Words and Clementina, a posthumous tribute to samba queen Clementina de Jesus. The fun kicks off with a block party on Hester Street July 21. Chow down on churrasco and feijoada while soaking up the beats of DJs Tupi Collective.
