BRIC’s Celebrate Brooklyn!, a summerlong outdoor concert series, will honor the 50th anniversary of hip-hop during a two-day music celebration at Prospect Park’s Lena Horne Bandshell. The first night features Digable Planets, who hit it big with “Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat),” and Kari Faux, an innovative Southern rapper; the 2002 rom-com Brown Sugar will screen on the second night.
