Celebrate Manhattanhenge
This event has already occurred
Description
The cultural phenomenon known as Manhattanhenge—the twice-yearly event when the sunset aligns perfectly with the Manhattan street grid and creates a beautiful spectacle—has been celebrated for many years by New Yorkers. The American Museum of Natural History gets in on the action with a lecture and viewing event celebrating the last opportunity to see the Manhattanhenge effect in 2025. Learn about the science and history behind the event, followed by a viewing of Manhattanhenge outdoors, set to music from the Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra.
