Description
Playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney is no newbie when it comes to penning quality works—he won the Oscar for his screenplay for a little movie called Moonlight. And now, he’s bringing Choir Boy to Broadway, a show that had a successful run Off-Broadway in 2013. This music-filled story is set at the Charles R. Drew Prep School for Boys, an institution dedicated to educating strong, ethical black men. At the center of the school is a legendary gospel choir and one young boy who’s made it his quest to become its newest leader.
