Description

The museum has a long history of celebrating fashion dating back to the 1934 exhibit The Story of Silk, and it was the first American museum to acquire a Dior, Fashion Doll 1880 (Afternoon Ensemble), in 1949.  In this latest chapter, they showcase the 70-plus-year history of the House of Dior in the Beaux-Arts Court. The show includes shots from prominent American photographers and works by Dior and the artistic directors who followed, including Yves Saint Laurent and Maria Grazia Chiuri.
