Description
Any day is a good day to visit Historic Richmond Town to get a taste of what life was like during simpler times. The living history museum is known for its many themed events and annual traditions, but its charm really comes through on the one-weekend-only Christmas celebration. Visitors will be enchanted by the museum’s transformation into an old-fashioned holiday wonderland full of demonstrations, gifts, crafts, treats and eats; there’s even a horse-drawn carriage. And, of course, no Christmas celebration would be complete without a visit from Santa and his helpers. A free tree lighting event takes place the Friday beforehand, December 5, from 4 to 5pm.
