Description
Since 2013, City Center's Encores! Off Center has been showcasing off-Broadway musicals for short-run staged readings. This summer's series includes Stephen Sondheim's Assassins, Kirsten Childs' The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin, and the Maurice Sendak and Carole King collaboration Really Rosie. The Sondheim show features a cast of well-known Broadway actors including Steven Boyer (Hand to God), Alex Brightman (School of Rock), Julie White (Sylvia) and Steven Pasquale (The Bridges of Madison County). Assassins will run from July 12–15, The Bubbly Black Girl July 26–27, and Really Rosie from August 2–5.
