Description
The Coney Island Film Festival is much like Coney Island itself—quirky, eccentric and unpredictable. Filmmakers and industry veterans gather over a weekend for an opening night party, indie film screenings and—what else—amusement park rides. Opening night festivities pay homage to Coney Island’s carnival history, with live performances from the Coney Island Circus Sideshow. Films from all types of genres are screened: drama short, comedy short, feature, documentary, horror, sci-fi, music video, experimental and animation; prizes are also awarded.
