Description
In 2010, five women of color decided “to flip the false narrative around unruly brown beauty and create one that accurately showcases the glory of our crowns, the richness of our skin, and the joy of our culture.” In 2014, they launched what is now the world’s largest natural beauty festival, drawing more than 30,000 people for killer beauty products, artisanal goods and Afro-centric fashions—plus braiding stations, photo booths, food trucks, live music and more.
