Description

BAM’s iconic celebration of African and African American dance, music and culture, done in partnership with the DanceAfrica Council of Elders, the Weeksville Heritage Center and the Billie Holiday Theatre, focusing this year on the culture and artistry of Mozambique. Expect an outdoor bazaar, traditional dance and music, classes, workshops, films, parties and much more in this annual tradition—one of the largest celebrations of African culture and Brooklyn’s unofficial kickoff to summer.
