Declaring America: 1776 and Beyond
Jun 15, 2026 - Jan 10, 2027
Description
The New York Public Library presents this expansive exhibition taking over multiple galleries in the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Trace the American Revolution from 1776 to today through founding documents, protest ephemera, artworks and artifacts, broadsides and posters. As the home of some of the country’s most important founding documents, the NYPL calls on its own collection for many of these materials that recount the story of our nation.
