Description

Green-Wood Cemetery holds almost 500 acres of art, history and nature, as well as, of course, the graves of many famous New Yorkers. Explore where George Washington and his troops fought in the Battle of Brooklyn, visit the grave of one of America’s greatest artists and see the grounds on this temperature-controlled trolley exploration. Tours generally take place Saturday afternoons; on Sunday afternoons, a "greatest hits" walking tour takes place. Note that they also have themed tours and events throughout the year, with local history as a frequent subject.
