Description
Born in nearby Nyack, where his childhood home still stands, Edward Hopper called New York City home for nearly 60 years. This exhibit, comprising sketches, prints and paintings, is the first to showcase the artist’s relationship with the city that frequently served as his inspiration. Among the highlights are Automat (1927), Early Sunday Morning (1930) and New York Movie (1939); they will be accompanied by ephemera, journals and correspondence.
